We are less than one week away from the 2019 Turtle Invitational. Our board of directors is working hard to ensure that we have a first-class event. Over the last three months, we have been inundated with entries. The quality and level of cars will be impressive. The Turtle Invitational Board has carefully hand-selected 75 vehicles that will grace the 25-acre meadow at Turtle Garage. Some of the brands on display will include Osca, Ferrari, BMW, Lancia, Steyr, Alfa-Romeo, Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, Maserati, Jaguar, Allard, Isotta Fraschini, Bimota, duPont, Cunningham, Bugatti, Porsche, and Bitter. Please join us for this celebration of life, friends, and the automobile. More information at www.turtleinvitational.com.
What is the Turtle Invitational?
What: A group of passionate enthusiasts come together for a weekend of camaraderie, cars, cocktails, and conversations. A stunning roster of classic vehicles fill the show field. The Turtle Invitational does not aim to be just another stop on the crowded and stale Concours de’ Elegance tour. Our goal is to put on a spectacular weekend gathering where old friends are seen and new ones are made. The Turtle Invitational blends the gravitas of Davos, the beauty of Amelia Island, and the intellectual stimulation of a 19th century Chautauqua.
When: The 2019 Turtle Invitational will be held over the weekend of September 21st and 22nd. Festivities will begin on Saturday afternoon with a friendraiser dinner at the Pray Achievement Center in Bedford New York. Sunday’s show will kick off with a breakfast tour through bucolic Fairfield and Westchester County. The show field will open at 10 am and the event will culminate with an early afternoon award ceremony and catered lunch. Following the show, there will be a celebratory after-party featuring Veuve Clicquot champagne. Mark your calendars!
Logistics: The show field consists of a special designated area for pre-registered invited cars. These cars are hand selected and approved by the Board based on their rarity, beauty, and historical significance. There is also an adjacent show field for vehicles that are driven to the event without pre-registration. Finally, given the generosity of our title sponsor Danbury Porsche/Audi, there is a designated parking area adjacent to the show field reserved for spectators who arrive in a Porsche or Audi.
Honored Guest, Judy Stropus: Professional auto race timer/scorer, race car driver, author, Concours Judge, award-winning public relations expert Judy Stropus is our Honored Guest at the 2019 Turtle Invitational. She is the recipient of numerous automotive and racing awards, and competed in the notorious “Cannonball” Trophy Dash in 1972. Her amazing career is detailed in her must-read biography. Read her bio…
Accommodations: We recommend Holiday Inn Mt. Kisco. Click here to reserve…
Cost per show or display vehicle is $100 and all profits benefit the Malcolm Pray Achievement Center.
